Caribbean Calcite Cube Terrarium

A beautiful cube terrarium featuring a lustrous Caribbean calcite freeform that glows in the sunlight, a raw chunk of red jasper, and a raw chunk of mahogany obsidian. This piece also features two air plants (tillandsia): medusae and ionantha. Caribbean calcite is a combination mineral that was recently found in Pakistan. It is a combination of a very light ocean blue calcite, as well as light brown and white aragonite. 

Caribbean calcite is thought to help one in elevating their consciousness and to provide an overall sense of calm and serenity by relieving stress and bringing balance to your life. This stone is also thought to enhance perspective of your dreams when kept near your bed. Please note that this description is based on the combination of calcites in this stone. As it is so newly discovered, the properties of this stone may become better known with time.

Red jasper is an aggregate of quartz and other minerals, including iron, which gives it the red colour. Jasper has been used as a stone of protection for thousands of years and is known to have been a favorite gem in the ancient world; its name can be traced back in Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, Assyrian, Greek and Latin.

Called the “Stone of Endurance and Nurturing”, red jasper is thought to have energizing and healing properties and to aid in eliminating distractions.
