Clear Quartz and Driftwood Terrarium

Quartz is a silicon dioxide mineral that forms in translucent masses, grains and druzy clusters. Most quartz forms in either igneous rocks or environments with geothermal waters. Roman naturalist Pliny the Elder believed quartz to be ice, permanently frozen after great lengths of time. In prehistoric times, varieties of quartz were used for stone tools.

Clear Quartz is known as the "master healer" and is thought to amplify energy and thought, as well as the effect of other crystals. This white crystal is said to aid concentration and memory. Clear quartz are also claimed to help stimulate the immune system and harmonize all of the chakras.
